Adobe has officially announced a major product transition: the launch of Acrobat Studio, its next-generation productivity platform, and the discontinuation of Acrobat Premium sales in the VIP Marketplace as of November 1, 2025. This strategic move streamlines the Acrobat product family and delivers a more integrated, future-ready solution for today’s digital workplace.

When will Adobe end sales of Acrobat Premium?

    • Adobe will end sales of Acrobat Premium and Premium Packs on November 1, 2025.
    • Adobe will remove the price lists for the 1-year and 3-year subscription plans, and new purchase authorizations will no longer be available.

Authorized Adobe resellers may continue to place additional orders for Acrobat Premium through the VIP Marketplace until 30/10/2025. After this date, the product will be fully removed from the catalog and no new orders will be accepted.

Why has Adobe introduced Acrobat Studio?

Adobe has launched Acrobat Studio to simplify its product lineup and meet the evolving needs of modern businesses. Over the years, Acrobat Premium has helped professionals manage PDF documents efficiently, but as workflows became more connected and AI-driven, users demanded a more integrated, intelligent platform.

That’s why Adobe developed Acrobat Studio – a next-generation solution that combines trusted PDF capabilities with AI-powered insights, real-time collaboration tools, and branded content creation features. The goal is to help organizations work smarter, faster, and more securely within a single unified workspace.

With Acrobat Studio, organizations can:

    • Make smarter and faster decisions by leveraging AI.
    • Work within a single, secure workspace where teams can edit, review, and track documents in real time.
    • Ensure consistent, professional documents that strengthen brand identity.
    • Simplify technology choices by moving to a unified product lineup.

Important: Customers who currently use Acrobat Premium will continue to have access and support until their contract period ends.

How long will Adobe continue to support Acrobat Premium?

Adobe will continue to provide full support for Acrobat Premium until the end of each customer’s active subscription term. Customers will have a consistent and uninterrupted experience until they move to Acrobat Studio.

What does this transition mean for businesses?

The transition confirms Adobe’s subscription-first strategy:

    • Adobe now offers Acrobat only through monthly or annual subscription plans, ensuring every customer benefits from the latest updates and security.
    • Adobe no longer provides perpetual licenses, which ended with Acrobat 2020.
    • Adobe continues to support businesses with multiple licensing models, including small-team subscriptions and enterprise agreements, making deployment and management more efficient.
