Real-Time Replication for VMware (beta) empowers you to create real-time replicas of VMware vSphere virtual machines (VMs) at a secondary disaster recovery (DR) location. This ensures that you can recover workloads with near-zero data loss. As the requirements for system availability and data accessibility become increasingly demanding, uninterrupted uptime is critical for many organizations. In the event of incidents such as ransomware attacks, system failures, or accidents, organizations need tools that allow them to resume operations within minutes or even seconds.

Virtual machine replication is widely used to achieve fast workload recovery, maintain high availability of critical systems, and ensure operational resilience during severe incidents. NAKIVO Backup & Replication already offers built-in disaster recovery features, including replication, automated failover, and Site Recovery for DR orchestration and automation. These features enable short recovery times (RTOs) by facilitating VM failover to a secondary site.

With Real-Time Replication (beta), changes made to the source VMware vSphere VMs are continuously copied to the replica VMs at the secondary site. This ensures that the replica VMs are always up to date, with an RPO as low as 1 second.
